About Travel Tech

Hi Everyone,

I will kick-start the technology section describing first how I plan to structure my posts. The primary type of blog post will focus on my experiences using gadgets on different trips. Since this is the start of the blog, I will probably refer out old trips until I make a new one. Most of the times I would bring new gadgets or try to use new devices, apps or technologies to enhance my experience every time. These would start with a Where section with a brief description of the location type like beach, mountains, city, ruins and so on. Followed by What section explaining the kind of experience I was looking for, total disconnection, relaxation, meeting people, partying :). I very brief Why part will follow with a little backstory about the trip. Finally, the meaty part of the article will describe the experience of using the gadgets in the different situations presented on the journey. The second kind of article would focus on general guides like best gadgets to bring on the different trip types. I will refrain from citing specific products and just explain the devices regarding their type or features they have. The posts would probably still have a Where, What and Why sections but they would work like tags that can be used to find the articles quickly. The last type of post would delve into specific products, either because they defy classification or because I want to highlight the experience of using it on trips. This articles might be the most problematic since there is a lot controversy about "influencers" receiving access to products and receiving incentives to promote them and show them in a positive light. Therefore, I want to put the clear rules for those articles, so everybody understands where I come from:

  • All blog posts will be about products I have bought for myself.

  • I will not accept products to review (not that I think it would happen soon)

  • There will be no rating system, only my opinion, where I come from, my expectations, the recollection of what I liked and what I didn't like.

Finally, as you can guess, I will strive to make my posts very concise, so I don't bore you :). The only exception would most likely be the "travel experience" posts. I will leave you with some photos of my latest trip to Huaraz that I will explore in future posts. See you soon!
